16' x 16' A-frame cabin overlooks Berg Bay and Blake Channel. Cabin has 2 single bunks, table, benches, loft, and oil heater (#1 stove oil only).

Reservation Info This site can be reserved by calling Toll Free 1-877-444-6777 (International 518-885-3639 or TDD 877-833-6777) or on-line at www.recreation.gov. Cabin reservations (check-in & check-out time) are from noon to noon.

Salt Water Fishing

Pink salmon (mid-July to mid-Aug.); silver and chum salmon (Aug.-Sept.); steelhead (April-May) in nearby Aaron's Creek and Oerns Creek; crabbing in Berg Bay and in front of Aaron's Creek tidal flats. Refer to Alaska Department of Fish and Game for regulations. 

River and Stream Fishing

Fishing in Aaron's Creek can be accessed by the nearby Aaron's Creek trail. Pink salmon (mid-July to mid-Aug.); silver and chum salmon (Aug. - Sept.); steelhead (April-May) in nearby Aaron's Creek and Oerns Creek. Refer to Alaska Department of Fish and Game for regulations. 

Day Hiking

A 4.0 mile trail connects Berg Bay to mouth of Berg Creek. First 0.4 miles of trail is surfaced with boardwalk, remainder of trail unsurfaced. Trail has several creek crossings that may be impassable during periods of high water, waterproof boots recommended. Black and brown bears frequently use the trail.

Big Game Hunting

Bear and moose hunting during designated seasons. Refer to Alaska Department of Fish and Game for regulations. 

Game Bird/Waterfowl

Waterfowl hunting on tidal flats during designated season. Refer to Alaska Department of Fish and Game for regulations. 

Viewing Wildlife

Moose, black and brown bear, wolves, waterfowl on trail and tidal flats. Mountain goats on ridge above Aaron's Creek valley
