Shakes Slough 2 Cabin
Located within the Stikine-LeConte Wilderness, the Shakes Slough #2 Cabin is a 16' x 16' A-frame cabin with sleeping loft and partially covered front porch. It is a short distance from the Shakes Slough #1 Cabin, providing for larger groups should both cabins be rented. Amenities include 2 single bunks (1 w/ trundle), a wooden table and benches, and oil space heater. The heater requires #1 stove oil only, which is NOT provided. Bring stove oil, bedding, cook stove, lanterns and utensils. Wilderness restrictions apply.

General Information
Directions: Cabin is located on the N side of the Stikine River at the mouth of Shakes Slough. Access is by shallow draft boat NE from Wrangell and 25 miles up the Stikine River.Activities
Cabin Rentals
Spectacular views from Popof Glacier and surrounding mountains. Chief Shakes Hot Springs about 4 miles (6.4 km) up Stikine River on Ketili Slough accessible by boat only. Shakes Lake and Glacier 3 miles (5 km) north. Shakes Slough #1 cabin located a few hundred feet north connected by trail between cabins.

River and Stream Fishing
Fishing for Cutthroat trout and Dolly Varden in nearby Alpine Creek. Refer to Alaska Department of Fish and Game for regulations regarding fishing on the Stikine River.
Big Game Hunting
Moose, black and brown bear during designated seasons. Refer to Alaska Department of Fish and Game for regulations.
