Boulder Recreation Site
A fishing pier is now open to the public as of August 21, 2017, at the Boulder recreation site.
Many fish-habitat structures were installed in Canyon Lake. This artificial habitat has been strategically placed to enhance fishing on the lake. There are large fish in the lake; 30-pound carp can be found. Canyon Lake has given up a 15 lb state record Largemouth and a world-record 1 lb. 11 oz. YellowBass. Arizona Game and Fish department annually stocks the lake with Rainbow Trout on a monthly basis, November to March.
