Antelope Canyon Trail


USGS Quad - Deseret Peak Northeast and Deseret Peak Northwest. Elevation gain of 5,351 feet. Leashed pets are permitted. This trail is located on the west side of the Stansbury Mountains. It has been maintained as a primitive trail, but you can still pick your way to Deseret Peak, which is the major destination. Trail junctions include Indian Hickman Trail and Deseret Peak Vickory Trail.

General Information

Directions: From Salt Lake City head west on I-80 and take the Stansbury-Tooele exit. Follow the signs to Grantsville. In Grantsville turn south on Cooley Street and head out of town. Turn west on the South Willow Canyon Road and follow it to he end. A trailhead sign shows where to start. Take the Mill Fork Trail 2.7 miles to the Deseret Peak Vickory junction. Head west about ΒΌ mile to first peak where the trail begins. The Antelope Canyon Trail must be accessed by South Willow Canyon since the west side of the Stansbury Mountains is bordered by the Skull Valley Indian Reservation.
