Mill Hollow campground will not open for the 2015 season due to removal of hazardous trees. The lake will be stocked with fish and the boat docks are in.
Mill Hollow reservoir is adjacent to the campground. Beautiful aspen fir and lodgepole pines surround the campground. Improvements include gravel roads and parking spurs, picnic tables, fire rings, and a grill at each site. Popular activites include hiking, bird watching, horseshoe pitching, snowshoeing, wildlife viewing and fishing. No power or telephones.
At a Glance
There are slash piles throughout the campground. These piles include limbs, branches, needles, etc. that were left as a result of the trees being downed. You may use the wood to burn. (The Kamas Ranger District is also offering early wood permits for anyone that would like to clear some of the slash for personal use. Stop by the District Office in Kamas. The permits will be for Monday and Tuesday wood gathering only in the hopes of getting Mill Hollow cleared quicker.)
You’ll need to bring water. This includes all the water you will need for drinking, cooking, cleaning, etc. Hope to have water around July 12th.
