USGS Quad - Brighton. Elevation gain is 30 feet. The Silver Lake Loop Trail follows a boardwalk around Silver Lake. The boardwalk is provided to protect the wetland environment. Please stay on the boardwalk at all times. The trail provides access for fishing piers. The Silver Lake Boardwalk accesses the Brighton Lakes Trail. The visitor's center has restrooms and a drinking fountain. Construction for an outdoor restroom facility was started Summer 1999 and should be completed for the 2000 season. Please be cautious of moose that live in the area. Do not approach any moose you may encounter on or near trails. Moose may seem calm and tame, but they are not! Moose are wild and unpredictable. For your own safety, please avoid these animals. Please do not pick any wildflowers. Picking wildflowers prevents them from blooming the following year. Please leave them so that others may enjoy them!
