Bowman Fork Trail #007
Elevation gain is 3,080 feet. Leashed pets are permitted, however please read the restrictions for this trail. Major destinations include Mt. Raymond, Gobblers Knob and Alexander Basin. Trail junctions include Mt. Raymond, Gobblers Knob and Alexander Basin. The Bowman Fork Trail follows the Bowman Fork stream for 3/4 mile then switch backs along the hillside. The trail junctions with the Alexander Basin Trail or continues past the Baker Spring area to meet the Desolation Trail in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Fees: | $ 5.00 / car. Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation employees collect the fee as you exit the canyon. Annual passes are available through Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation by calling (801) 483-5473, or you can purchase one as you exit the canyon. Trail enters designated wilderness, special regulations apply! Watershed restrictions apply and are strictly enforced when you cross the ridge into Big Cottonwood Canyon. (in short - NO DOGS) Dogs are restricted from the groomed ski trail on ODD numbered calendar days during the winter. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all trail heads and developed sites including parking lots. Please pick up after your dog, your Canyon appreciates it! Other trails for dogs. General Information
Directions: Access #1: Via Mill Creek Canyon Road (3800 South Wasatch Blvd.) about 4.5 miles up the canyon at Terraces Picnic area. Follow the road up the hill and at the junction turn south (right). Trail begins above the turn around. Access #2: Via Alexander Basin Trail or via Desolation Trail coming from Mill D North Fork in Big Cottonwood Canyon or the Big Water Trail in upper Mill Creek Canyon.Activities
