This timbered-setting campground sits just off the Nebo Loop, a National Scenic Byway. Visitors enjoy the campground for its beautiful panoramic views and great trail opportunities. The dominant vegetation consists of fir, pine, aspen, and Gambel oak trees, which provide partial shade and nice fall color. Broad grassy meadows cover the areas around the trees. Summer wildflowers and wildlife are abundant.. 5 miles away is Payson Lake, a fifteen acre day-use lake stocked with rainbow and brown trout fishing, canoeing, swimming and picnicking. The campground has a horse loop with horse facilities. There are hiking trails nearby. Bird watching, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, wildlife viewing are some of the popular activities for this area.The Mount Nebo Wilderness Area is adjacent, brimming with beautiful mountain scenery, pristine waters, abundant wildlife, vibrant summer wildflowers and numerous trail opportunities. Other amenities include barbeque grills, firewood, and picnic tables.

General Information
Directions:From Nephi, Utah travel east on 100 North to Forest Road 015 (Nebo Loop Road) and turn left. Travel on the Nebo Loop Road for approximately 22.8 miles and turn right onto Forest Road 175 (Blackhawk Campground Road). Travel approximately 1.7 miles to the campground and stay right and travel into the campground.
From the intersection of Center Street and Main Street in Santaquin, Utah travel on Center Street South. Continue on Center street which becomes Canyon Road and then Forest Road 014. Travel on this road approximately 9.1 miles. Turn left to stay on Forest Road 014 and travel 2.1 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 015 (Nebo Loop Road) and travel 2.9 miles. Turn right on to Forest Road 175 (Blackhawk Campground Road) and travel 1.7 miles. Turn right to stay on Blackhawk Campground Road and follow into campground.
