Mason Dam Boat Launch
The Mason Dam Boat Launch is located on the east end of Phillips Lake off the Elkhorn Drive Scenic Byway (also known as Highway 7). Surrounded by an open ponderosa pine forest, the site is popular in the summer for fishing and boating, and in the winter for ice fishing. The boat launch parking area is also used as the eastern trailhead for the North Phillips Lake Shoreline Trail #1608.
Located nearby are the Mason Dam Viewpoint and Mason Dam Picnic Area.

General Information
Directions:From Baker City, Oregon travel south on Highway 7 towards John Day, Oregon for about 17 miles to the Mason Dam Boat Launch road (also shown as Forest Road 200); Turn left off the highway and go down about 0.3 miles to the Mason Dam Boat Launch.
