The new campground is beautifully designed with 32 RV sites and one group site. All campsites are fully accessible with water and electrical hook-ups. Two new flush restrooms with showers and one new vault restroom were installed. Campsite # 2, 11, 20, and 21 are not reservable because they have been designated for hosts or volunteers.
The 50-person capacity group site is called Two Points Group Campground.
This family campground is located on a ridge on the west side of Lake Vesuvius.
At a Glance
Open 24 hrs a day. For deer gun season only - the Pine Knob Loop of Oak Hill will be open. However the water will be turned off.
Reservations can be made through http://www.recreation.gov .
Please check this site for when online reservations would begin and end. Open dates before and after reservation dates are on a first come-first-serve basis.
Fee for camping at one of 28 electric sites is $21/night. Senior Pass and Access Pass (formerly Golden Age and Golden Access Passports) are accepted at this campground. The fee for Pass-holders is $13/night. Two Points Group Campground is $35/night.

Directions: Located 6.5 miles north of Ironton, Ohio, just off State Route 93. Turn on County Road 29 and follow the signs to the Recreation Area (1 mile). Turn at the entrance to the recreation area to the left and go past the lake and the boat dock. The campground is approximately one mile up this road on the right. GPS Lat/Long coordinates for the area are 38 deg 36' 50" / 82 deg 38' 00".
This area includes a group campground with a capacity of up to 50 people and includes a picnic shelter. Shower facilities are available at the adjacent Oak Hill Campground site. Vault toilets available.
Recreation areas with activity Day Hiking:
Near all seven of the trails available at Vesuivus Recreation Area but a spur connects to the Rock House Trail.
