Peltier Lake #1826


The Peltier Lake Trail begins at Rio Blanco County Road 10 and ends at Oyster Lake Trail #1825. The trail climbs an oakbrush-covered hillside and then winds through aspen for 3.5 miles to Peltier Lake. From Peltier Lake, the trail continues 3 miles through aspen, sagebrush and grassy slopes to Bailey Lake. The Oyster Lake Trail junction is 6.7 miles from the Peltier Lake Trailhead.

Directions:

The Peltier Lake Trail is located 21 miles east of Meeker, CO. From Meeker, take Colorado Highway 13 east for 1 mile, then turn right (east) on Rio Blanco County Road 8 and follow this for 18 miles. Turn south and Rio Blanco County Road 10 for 2 miles, jog north .25 miles, then continue east for 8 miles to the Peltier Lake Trailhead. Parking is available 100 yards up the road, past the cattle guard.
