This trail climbs up through a dense Douglas-fir forest to the top of Castle Rock and the site of an old lookout, offering expansive views of the McKenzie River Valley.

General Information

Directions:

From Blue River travel east on Highway 126 for four miles to Forest Road 19. Travel on Road 19 for ½ mile. At stop sign, go straight (onto Road 19-410) for 2 miles. Turn left onto Road 19-411 and travel 2.75 miles to roadside parking area on left side of road. To reach the upper portion of the trail, take Road 19-410 to Road 2639 (King Road). Travel on King Road for ½ mile and turn right onto Road 480. Travel on Road 480 to the end of the road to the parking area.
