Youngs Rock Trail #3685
The trail parallels or passes through several open grassy meadows, with views of Diamond Peak, Sawtooth Mountain and Dome Rock.
The lower reaches of the trail are quite open and has a park-like setting. Much of the trail is on a south-facing slope and can get quite warm during the summer.
The hike can be difficult if you start at the river and climb to Moon Point.
This trail is a very popular mountain bike route when combined with Forest Roads 21 and 2129. The wildfires of 1996 burned over portions of the trail so there will be evidence of wildfire damage.
