This scenic campground is located in a stand of Douglas fir, cedar and hemlock on a bluff above the McKenzie River and Carmen Reservoir. Ice Cap Creek runs along the eastern edge of the campground.
The location provides easy access to the McKenzie River Trail and to Koosah and Sahalie Falls.
The layout of this campground is best suited for tent and car camping.

From McKenzie Bridge, OR, take Highway 126 east approximately 17.3 miles.
Turn left at the Ice Cap Campground/Koosah Falls sign.
Follow signs to the campground.
