Professional Development

Professional Development in the Forest Service focuses on natural resource professional expertise.  Areas include fire, silviculture, minerals, geology, range, engineering, recreation, lands, wildlife, fish, ecology, soils, watershed, botany and air.  Anyone with minimum background and interest is welcome to contact the vendors and apply.

Individuals participate in professional development because of an interest in lifelong learning, to maintain and improve professional competence, enhance career progression, keep abreast of new technology and practice, or to comply with professional regulatory organizations.
