A recreation pass is required to park your vehicle at many recreation sites on the Deschutes National Forest. Signs are posted at participating sites which state, “National Forest Recreation Fee Area.”
Passes are required on the Deschutes National Forest from May 1st until September 30th. During the remainder of the year, passes are not required at designated sites because of reduced services, low use and questionable access due to weather.
Click here for a list of sites on the Deschutes National Forest that require a National Forest Recreation Pass.
The Ochoco National Forest and the Crooked River National Grassland do not have any Recreation Pass sites.
