Snow Grooming Report 2013
(Mar. 21)

Comments

Almanor Ranger District:

The groomer reports grooming for the Morgan Summit routes is done for the season and Highway 172 is now open. Some signs have already been removed.

Eagle Lake Ranger District:

No grooming has occurred due to the lack of snow and warm temperatures. Signs will be picked up and grooming equipment put away for the season.

Hat Creek Ranger District:

There has been no new grooming. Unless the snow piles up in the next week, there will be no more grooming. The season is officially done as of April 1.

As always, watch for hazards and other riders, and please ride to the right!

Make safety your number one priority. Travel with a friend. Make sure you tell someone where you are going. Carry emergency equipment. Use your best judgment. Have fun!

*************************************************************

Lassen National Forest snowmobile routes are closed to all wheeled motorized vehicles, including All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) until March 31, 2013.  Wheeled vehicles create ruts on groomed trails, which result in hazardous conditions for snowmobile traffic. Violation of closures is not only dangerous, but can be costly as well.  Our concern is for public safety and protection of resources.  Thanks for helping!

View Forest Orders

Lassen National Forest has many types of outdoor recreation. Call the District offices for more information on where you can operate your wheeled vehicle. Visitors are reminded that snowmobile traffic is not permitted in the Caribou Wilderness, Thousand Lakes Wilderness, or in Lassen Volcanic National Park.

To report an Emergency please Dial 911
