Cumo Exploration Project (previously listed as Cumo 2007 Project)
On February 11, 2011 the Decision Notice & FONSI was signed for the CuMo Project. On July 27, 2011 a lawsuit was filed. On August 29, 2012 the US District Court for the District of Idaho issued its Decision which found in favor of the Forest Service on all points except their finding of no significant impact to groundwater, remanding this matter back to the Forest Service to undertake further groundwater analysis. Thus, a supplemental EA (SEA) was initiated. The 2013 SEA has now been prepared and issued for 30-day notice and comment. The legal notice initiating the comment period was published on August 19, 2013 in the Idaho Statesman. Individuals and organizations who would like to comment on this project and be eligible to object must meet the information requirements of 36 CFR 218 Subparts A and B. Three public meetings will be held; September 3, 4 and 5. Please refer to the legal notice for detail concerning location and times.
