Welcome to the Stanislaus National Forest, where you can fish in over 800 miles of rivers and streams, stay in a campground, or hike into the backcountry seeking pristine solitude. You can swim near a sandy beach or wade into cold clear streams cooling your feet while lost in the beauty of nature, raft the exciting Tuolumne River, or canoe one of the many gorgeous lakes. Motorized Travel Management information, maps and documents for the Final Environmental Impact Statement phase of the project are currently available.
Motor Vehicle Use Maps display roads and trails that are open for motor vehicle use by the public on the Stanislaus National Forest. The free maps also display public and private land ownership, plus any seasonal closures or restrictions by vehicle type.
Personal Use Fuelwood Permits are now available for purchase at Stanislaus National Forest offices. Fuelwood season officially begins Wednesday, April 1 and will continue until November 30.
