FY01 Monitoring and Evaluation - SOCIAL ASSESSMENT OF THE BEAVERHEAD-DEERLODGE NATIONAL FOREST
A Social Assessment of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and the seven counties which contain portions of the Forest was contracted in 2002. Its purpose was to identify social and economic changes and trends since the Forest Plans were put in place in 1986 and 1987 and to clarify emerging social issues that might impact Revision of the Forest Plans. The Assessment also provides a comprehensive look at the Forest Plan Monitoring Items for “Adjacent Lands, Resources, Communities and Agencies” and “Emerging Issues” (Beaverhead #11.1, 11.2, 11.3; Deerlodge #14,1, 14.2, 15.1).
