Big Game Hunting

The Bitterroot National Forest is well known for its big game hunting.  Within the Forest, the three big game animals that are most commonly hunted are:  Elk, Mule Deer, and Whitetail Deer.  Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Rocky Mountain Goat, and Moose are also hunted under special permits drawn by a limited number of hunters.
