Almost anywhere you go in the Gorge, you will be rewarded with outstanding views of the Columbia River carving its path through the Cascades. To the south, white-capped Mt Hood watches over the Gorge, while Mt. Adams' massive dome frames the northern horizon. The Gorge includes old growth wet Douglas fir forests to the west of the Cascades, with drier grasslands to the east, with pockets of old growth oak forests and wildflower meadows throughout. Explore these links to plan your visit to some of the most world-famous spots. Please practice Leave No Trace Principles while you're here, to leave it Gorge-ous for the next generation!
