Cabin Rentals
The Rio Grande National Forest offers ten rental cabins ranging from refurbished guard stations to historic log cabins located in remote areas. All cabins are available by reservation only. Please make reservations online at www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.
In 2023, all cabins are available for either 3-day or 4-day block rentals. The multi-day block rental strategy is being utilized to ensure proper disinfection between rentals, to assist in the prevention of COVID-19.
3-day cabin rental blocks have a check in day of Thursday and a departure day of Sunday (pay for 3 nights). 4-day cabin rental blocks have a check in day of Thursday and a departure day of Monday, (pay for 4 nights).
When consecutive blocks are reserved by one party, that party may have the option to rent the days in between their reserved blocks by directly contacting the Ranger District in charge of the cabin. Please see the individual cabins for more information.
