The western boundary of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is, depending on location, approximately 3-12 miles inland from beaches and other attractions enjoyed by visitors to the southern Oregon coast.

Beachcombing, salt water fishing, bird watching, art galleries, shops and restaurants are just a few opportunities available in the scenic coastal environment and seaboard communities. Camping, hiking, fresh water fishing and other activities offered on the neighboring Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest provide coastal visitors complementary recreational experiences.
