Game Bird/Waterfowl

The diversity of landscapes and ecosystems on the Salmon-Challis National Forest provide habitat for many game birds. In the sagebrush grasslands and streamside riparian areas you will find chuckar, Hungarian partridge, and California quail. In the forested areas you can hunt for turkeys, spruce grouse, and blue grouse.

Due to the variety of hunts offered in Idaho, it is advisable to check on the Idaho Fish and Game Department website and review the hunting regulations for the season, weapons and hunting unit you would like to hunt this season.
