Horse Riding and Camping in the wilderness areas

Fall scene with three horses

Four pack animals in forested area

Going on horseback with pack animals into the wilderness can be a wonderful experience.

We have a nice, printable, guide called "Horse Sense" to help you learn about regulations and tips to make your trip very enjoyable and also help to minimize conflicts with other wilderness users.

You and your stock will enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere in Northern California.

Remember that the wilderness is a fragile environment and we need your help to protect and maintain it for future equestrians to enjoy.

For more information on a guided horseback trip through parts of our forest, visit our Outfitter and Guide page.
