The Wayne National Forest currently has 142 miles of single-track trails for mountain bikes, and allows mountain bikes on an additional 148.5 miles of off-highway vehicle trails.
There are 128 miles in the Athens Ranger District, Marietta Unit, including the Buckeye Trail / North Country Trail, Kinderhook Horse Trail, Lamping Homestead Trail, Ohio View Trail, Archer’s Fork Trail, Green Wood Trail, and Scenic River Trail.
The Athens Ranger District, Athens Unit features the Baileys Trail System, with 14 of a planned 88 miles of purpose-built mountain bike trails constructed.
Mountain bikes are not allowed on the Athens Unit of the Buckeye Trail / North Country Trail.
