Hikers along the Pacific Crest Trail are being detoured around the Williamson Rock area of the Angeles National Forest and San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. This temporary closure (Forest Order No. 05-01-24-04), in effect through December 31, 2026, is for the protection of natural resources, specifically the endangered mountain yellow-legged frog and its critical habitat.
Help keep wilderness wild by doing your part to stay out of the closed area.
