Fire Danger Level: HIGH
This means:- You can build, maintain, attend, or use a fire, campfire, or stove fire in campgrounds, picnic areas, & day-use areas only.
- A California (CA) Campfire Permit is required & is only valid where fire restrictions allow.
- With a CA Campfire Permit, you may use portable lanterns or stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel.
- Welding or operating an acetylene or other torch with an open flame is prohibited.
- Discharging a firearm, air rifle, or gas gun is only allowed at A Place to Shoot (Saugus) and Burro Canyon Shooting Park (Azusa).
- Operating or using any internal/external combustion engine without a U.S. Forest Service-approved spark arresting device properly installed, maintained, and in effective working order is prohibited.
