Some Trails Closed into San Bernardino Nat'l Forest from Mt Baldy/High Elevation

Alert

The Vista Fire, July 2024, burned in both the San Bernardino National Forest and Angeles National Forest. Currently, there are only post-fire closures in the San Bernardino National Forest.

All Vista Fire closures in the Angeles National Forest have been lifted. This means visitors can access the Mt. Baldy area, the trail network leading to Mt. Baldy (Mt. San Antonio), and the Blue Ridge area. These areas are located near Mount Baldy Village, an unincorporated community in the San Gabriel Mountains in both San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties.

However, some high-country trails in the Angeles National Forest, including in the Mt. Baldy area, cross into closed areas in the San Bernardino National Forest.

For your safety, check out the updated closure order and map for the San Bernardino Natioanl Forest Vista Fire area prior to considering your hike. These areas are expected to be closed through Oct. 31, 2024.
