Flash flooding on Aug. 15 damaged roads across the Tellico Ranger District making the roads be in a very different condition from your last visit.
Plan ahead for closures and impassable washouts and slides. Tellico River Road remains closed past the Tellico Ranger Station to North River Road. North River Road is restricted to high clearance vehicles with 4WD. Turkey Creek Shortcut remains closed.
No foot traffic or bicycles are allowed on Tellico River Road, North River Road and Turkey Creek Shortcut due to construction for the replacement of the Bald River Falls Bridge.
