The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest will be starting road reconstruction work on Forest Road 238/Cherryville Road, in the Town of Barksdale, Bayfield County, Wisconsin. Work will begin on Monday, September 30, 2024, and continue until freeze-up. Work will start at Forest Road 236/Ino Road, and end at Forest Road 431. Gravel surfacing will be placed, and five cross-drain culverts will be installed. The road will remain open to the public during construction. Expect delays between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternate routes are suggested during these times.
