Effective Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the Colville National Forest will enter Stage 1 Fire Restricitons. This Order is necessary to protect the public health and safety due to elevated fire danger, weather conditions, and forest health issues, which when added to the potential depletion of fire suppression resources and specific public, private property and natural resource issues present in these enumerated areas, present a significant community safety hazard in the event of a fire
