Toccoa River - Sandy Bottoms Day Use on Recreation.gov

Beginning October 2, 2024 - Toccoa River - Sandy Bottoms Day Use Area will no longer accept cash or check payments on site. Daily users must use the scan and pay option:
1-Day Scan and Pay Activitiy Pass ($5 per operator): Before leaving cell phone service, download the Recreation.gov app on your mobile device. Once you are at Sandy Bottoms, you will need to open the Recreation.gov app. Once the app is open you will need to press the scan function within the app. This will open the scanning function on your phone's camera. Point your camera at the QR code for Sandy Bottoms. You will then be able to purchase a pass. You will need to repeat this process for each vehicle if the party has more than one. Multiple passengers in a single vehicle do not require additional passes unless the vehicle carries an excess of twelve passengers. As long as you have the Recreation.gov app, you will not need cell phone service to purchase a pass. Passes will show "Pending" until service is reached.
