Whisky Creek Fire in Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness

There is a small wildfire near the confluence of Herman Creek and Whisky Creek, near the boundary of the Mt. Hood National Forest and the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Currently, the fire is all located within the Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness Area.
There are multiple trail, road, and recreation site closures:
The Great Basin Complex Incident Management Team assumed command of the fire at 6:00 AM, Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
