MOTORIZED ROAD CLOSURE ORDER
National Forest System Road #2421 (Glacier Lake Road)

Prohibited activities on the National Forest System Lands in the Hyalite Porcupine Buffalo Horn (HPBH) Wilderness Study Area (WSA), Custer Gallatin National Forest.

East Rosebud Road 2177 from Mile Post 7.3 to the end of the road and the entirety of NFST East Rosebud Trail 15. 

PURPOSE: The purpose of this order is to protect public health and safety. The McConnell Fishing Access Area is in close proximity to private residences, US Highway 89, and the Gardiner Airport. The closure is a permanent closure as described under Section 4103 the John D. Dingell, Jr.

This closure of National Forest System Road #3809  is necessary, due to naturally occurring damage to the road, portions of the apparent on-the-ground road footprint have migrated outside of the existing right of way across private property.

Using a bicycle or other wheeled vehicle between December 1st and April 15th of each year is prohibited on ski/snowshoe trails as depicted on the current Gallatin National Forest Over Snow Vehicle Use Map.

Prohibited Act(s): Placing, or maintaining any mechanical device, snare, deadfall or pit or device capable of capturing any wildlife or domesticated animal within certain areas on the Custer Gallatin National Forest.

Prohibition of using a bicycle or other wheeled vehicle between October 15th and June 15th of each year on Rendezvous Ski/Snowshoe Trails on the Hebgen Lake Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin N

Pursuant to 36 CFR Section 261.50 (a) the following acts are prohibited on the Gallatin National Forest, Hebgen Lake Ranger District:

Bicycle and stock use restrictions on Chestnut Mountain Trail # 458 on the Bozeman Ranger District.

Prohibited as activities within the designated Wilderness boundaries of the Greater Yellowstone Area National Forests.

This order implements the “time share” component for mountain bikes prohibited on the Bozeman Ranger District.

Livestock use restrictions across the forest.

Trails where the use of bicycles is prohibited yearlong.

The restriction of aircraft use on the Custer Gallatin National Forest.

Prohibition of Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire or campfire (except camp stoves) in areas of Lava Lake-Lee Metcalf Wilderness.
