The final permanent order prohibiting recreational shooting in the Hyalite Creek Drainage in the Bozeman Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest. The final permanent recreational shooting order, which replaces an emergency order issued under the Dingell Act, addresses public safety concerns associated with recreational shooting in this 34,018-acre, narrow watershed that experiences high visitation due to its proximity to Bozeman, Montana.

This order will be effective on August 21, 2024 at 08:00 and shall remain in effect until it is recinded.
