The fire, estimated to be about 8 acres this morning is growing. Gifford Pinchot and Mt. Hood fire crews, along with crews from WA Dept. of Natural Resources are responding. A Type 3 incident management team has been ordered to assist with the situation.
All Iron Creek Campground campers have been successfully evacuated. There are no reports of injury. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
For you protection and those fighting the wildfire please stay away from the area around Forest Roads 25 and 76. A closure order is currently being worked on and will be shared when available.
