Winter Road Closures

Due to large amounts of snowfall the gates along the fallowing roads will be closed for the winter season. This routine seasonal gate closure is important for public safety as these roads are not maintained and because hazardous in the winter.
Sno-Parks:
Roads that will remain open will consist of the Forest Roads leading to a Sno-Park. Plowing contracts for these roads are scheduled to begin December 1st, 2024, for all Sno-Parks.

Winter Driving and Safety: Be aware that winter weather in the forest can change rapidly and that most forest roads are not maintained for winter driving. Forest staff recommend bringing traction devices and a shovel, extra food, drinking water, winter clothing, blankets, a flashlight, and a first aid kit.
