Stage 1 Fire Restrictions prohibit building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire, campfire, or stove fire, including charcoal and briquettes, outside a fire structure that is provided by the Forest Service within a Designated Area. Smoking is also prohibited, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, at a developed recreation site, or while stopped in an area at least three (3) feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable material.
The purpose of this order is to protect public health and safety, as well as National Forest System lands, resources, and facilities, by reducing the risk of human-caused wildfires during the current period of high fire danger and severe fire weather conditions.
This order shall be in effect from Monday, March 10, 2025, at 8 a.m. through September 30, 2025, at 8 a.m., unless rescinded
