Beartree Lake restoration project facility changes

Effective immediately, the following are closed at Beartree Lake as we work to restore and upgrade our facilities:

• Beach pavilion bathrooms and potable water
• Sections of the Beartree Lake Trail intermittently closed for maintenance. Please abide by all posted signage
• Swimming and paddling on the lake

Fishing is allowed, although we ask the public to use caution in accessing the lake as conditions will be muddy.

Apart from any inclement weather, the project is expected to be completed by November 2024. The Forest Service greatly appreciates the public's patience and flexibility as we work to complete this project. For additional questions, please call 276-783-5196.
