  • 2017 Updates to Firewood Restrictions

    On June, 13th 2017, a new forest order was issued to help limit the movement of Emerald Ash Borer through the Forest. To help protect the forest, firewood that has not been processed or does not have USDA certification can no longer be brought on to the forest. Firewood with Indiana DNR certification is no longer allowed to be brought into the Hoosier National Forest. Firewood gathered from down and dead trees on the Forest is still allowed.
