Forest Order: 01-04-03-23-007 Chilco Mountain Trail Closure

DESCRIBED CLOSURE

The 5.8-mile-long Chilco Mountain National Recreation Trail (#14) from the southern terminus along Forest Road 406 to the northern terminus at the intersection of Forest Roads 332 and 385.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this closure is for the protection of public safety due to the prevalence of fire-weakened trees falling without warning along the trail. The dead and dying trees are the result of the Ridge Creek Fire.

DURATION

The order shall be in effect from October 6, 2023, at 0600 through July 1, 2024, at 1600, unless rescinded sooner.
