Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System (NFS) lands and roads within the Sandpoint Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A (the “Described Area and Roads”):

1. Going into or being upon an area which is closed for the protection of public health and safety. 36 C.F.R. § 261.53(e).
2. Entering or using a developed recreation site or portion thereof. 36 C.F.R.§ 261.58(b).
3. Camping. 36 C.F.R. § 261.58(e).
4. Being on the road. 36 C.F.R. § 261.54(e).


Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:

1. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order), specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 C.F.R. § 251.50(e)(1) or (2).
2. Any Federal, State, or Local Officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty. 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e)(4).
3. Persons engaged in a business, trade, or occupation in the area. 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e)(5)


The following roads and areas within T56N, R1W, Sections 22, 23, and 26 and T56N, R1E, Sections 19 and 30, Boise Meridian:

1. FSR 2672
2. FSR 2672A
3. FSR 2672B
4. Mineral Point Road FSR 532 from the junction with the Garfield Bay Cutoff Road to the Mineral Point Trailhead.
5. FSR 532A
6. Green Bay Campground


Forest Service Roads (FSR) 2672, 2672A, 2672B,532, and 532A along with Green Bay Campground are closed to camping and any other occupancy or use to allow for the reconstruction and redevelopment of roads, parking areas, and campground sites. Heavy equipment will be operating in the area and significant construction activity is expected. The work may cause unsafe conditions associated with the construction, and the Described Area and Roads must therefore be closed to promote public health and safety.


1. This Order shall be in effect from May 14, 2024, at 12:01 am until December 31, 2024.
