  • Fire Use Restrictions

Effective immediately the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is restricting open campfires throughout the forest; except in designated developed campgrounds. The campfire restriction will remain in effect until there is significant moisture to lower the fire danger.

The Fire Use Restriction Order prohibits the following:

    1. Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, briquette fire, or stove fire outside of the developed recreation sites listed in Exhibit A of the Fire Use Restriction Order.
    2. Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a developed recreation site, or while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable material.

Read the news release and  Fire Use Restriction Order 06-05-17-03 for more information.
