Rager Cooperative Travel Management Area

Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited in the Paulina Ranger District within the Ochoco National Forest as described below and shown on the Maps attached as Exhibit A.

This Order is effective immediately upon signature through November 20, 2024.

PROHIBITIONS:

1. Being on a closed road with any motorized vehicle within the Rager Cooperative Travel Management Area. [36 CFR § 261.54(e)]

2. Possessing or using any motorized vehicle off road within the Rager Cooperative Travel Management Area. [36 CFR § 261.56]

3. Being on a trail with any motorized vehicle within the Rager Cooperative Travel Management Area. [36 CFR § 261.55(a)]

The vehicle restrictions shall apply to those portions of the Ochoco National Forest including parts of T.13S., R.22E., R.23E., R.24E., R.25E., R.26E., T.14S., R.22E., R.23E., R.24E., R.25E., R.26E., T.15S., R.22E., R.23E., R.24E., R.25E., R.26E., T.16S., R.25E., R.26E., T.17S., R.26E. That area is shown on the attached Exhibit A - Rager Cooperative Travel Management Area Map.

EXEMPTIONS: Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

1. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation Order) specifically exempting them from this Order.

2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of any organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty. These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 C.F.R. Part 261, Subpart A.

Violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both (16 USC § 551; 18 USC § 3559, 3571, and 3581
