Work to improve hiking trail access to the top of Silver Mountain has been initiated. This includes removal of the staircases that are located on the northwest side of the parking area. We are currently removing the stairway, which is not safe to use. This is considered an active construction site with hazards present and we are advising visitors to use alternate access to the peak of Silver Mountain. Access to Silver Mountain is available via the southwest hiking trail, which is marked. Thank you for your cooperation.
