The USFS initiates restrictions or temporary public land closures to reduce the risk of wildfires and protect the public.

A notification or warning that may impede normal planned recreational activities. Caution warnings indicate possible or impending danger or may otherwise result in an unpleasant or unsafe situation while recreating on the forest.
