National Forests and Grasslands in Texas Road and Trails Closures

The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas continue to repair damaged roads. Visitors should use extreme caution when visiting.

Road and trail conditions can change rapidly, and visitors are reminded to check their local weather. Current list of roads, trails, and recreation areas temporarily closed or with limited access. Residents can access these roads to travel to and from their homes. 

Please be aware of closures and follow local authorities' guidance.  Plan alternative routes, stay informed, and prioritize safety.

  • Davy Crockett NF-
    • NFSR 501 Closed
    • NFSR 502-4X4 recommended
    • NFSR 502A- Culvert out
    • NFSR 503 Closed from NFSR 503B to end of the road
    • NFSR 504 Culvert out
    • NFSR 507 will be closed from Elmer Smith road to NFSR 507B
    • NFSR 523 Closed- from SH 94 to NFSR 528 
    • NFSR 529 Closed
    • NFSR 537 Closed
    • NFSR 558A Closed
    • NFSR 565 closed from end of road to 565 A. 
    • NFSR 571 Closed
    • 4C Trail continues to be CLOSED outside of Ratcliff Lake Recreation area. 

 

  • Sabine NF-
    • NFSR 111 is closed 1/2 mile south of Six Mile Creek Bridge due to a washed-out culvert.
