Forest Roads Status

Seasonal road closures are common on the White Mountain National Forest. Stay up to date with the latest road information by following us on social media or by calling the Ranger District where the National Forest System road is located to confirm road status before heading up to your destination. Closed areas are open to foot traffic unless otherwise noted.


Public Notices

Partial Termination of Closure Order R9-22-19-31 - Round Pond Road

Closure Order Restrictions applicable to Round Pond Rd (FR-27)/Stoneham Snowmobile Trail within the Androscoggin Ranger District of the White Mountain National Forest, are hereby terminated effective Friday, December 1, 2023.

Closure Order R9-22-23-07 - Long Pond Road

The purpose of this Order is to protect the public health and safety of users recreating on National Forest System (NFS) lands and to prevent further damage to National Forest System resources by closing approximately 1 mile of the northern end of Forest Road 19 in the Town of Benton on the White Mountain National Forest (WMNF).
